Add a camera

Name the camera and its site. Veyra creates its folder in the bucket, then you can upload recordings into it.

e.g. Main gate. Must be unique across all sites.

Prefer bulk upload by folder?

Copy recordings straight into the S3 bucket (or the server's inbox folder) in this layout. A new folder becomes a new site or camera on the next scan, within about 30 seconds.

<site>/<camera>/<YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS+0530>.mp4

Folders are lower-case words joined by hyphens, e.g. campus-north/main-gate/2026-10-02_09-30-00+0530.mp4. The start time in the name is used when the camera's on-screen clock can't be read. MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI or TS.

clips/ at the bucket root is separate: it holds clips Veyra exports and is never read back in.
